Sun. AM Hike to Lily Lake
Sat. PM - Interpretive Tour
with Aaron
and evening Bake by the Lake.
Meet Aaron at 1:00 PM at LSLBO for a birding
and ecology excursion throughout the Provincial Park
and surrounding area.
We will visit:
- The Lesser Slave River and surrounding wet lands.
- Devonshire beach along road and trails looking for birds and exploring sand dune ecology.
- Marten Mountain lookout with a walk through old growth forest.
- Marten Beach to Lehman's Lodge ( log cabin )
At Marten Beach we will:
- Walk along the beach and sand dunes looking for birds and exploring sand dune ecology.
- Have a potato bake over an open fire pit at the cabin.
- Take a sunset walk along the beach ( optional )
( Lunch and
transportation are not provided, but arrangements can be made )
( Potatoes will
be provided for the potato bake. If you want other items, bring your own )
